St Kilda beach is only 4kms from the heart of Melbourne and a very popular kiteboarding location. It's an ideal starting point for many new kiters with several kiting schools operating in the warmer months. Travelling north or south from Stkilda you will find several other kiting locations.

Wind: Northerly 15 to 25 knots, reaching up to 30 knots at times in the morning, shifting westerly 20 to 30 knots in the late morning. Winds reaching up to 35 knots in the late afternoon and evening.
Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the morning, then increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres during the afternoon.

Monday 26 March

Wind: West to northwesterly 25 to 35 knots shifting west to southwesterly 20 to 30 knots in the early afternoon then easing to 15 to 20 knots in the late afternoon.
Seas: 1.5 to 2.5 metres.

Tuesday 27 March

Wind: Westerly 10 to 15 knots becoming variable about 10 knots during the morning.
Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing below 1 metre during the morning.
