Victoria's Mornington Peninsula is approximately 75km south of Melbourne and a great location for kite boarding. With ideal flat water at Rosebud to wave riding on the back beaches, kite boarders of all levels and various kiting styles enjoy this area.

Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres.

Monday 18 December

Wind: Easterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots in the south early in the morning. Winds becoming variable about 10 knots around dawn then becoming southerly around 10 knots during the early afternoon. Winds tending easterly 10 to 15 knots during the evening.
Seas: Around 1 metre, decreasing below 1 metre during the morning.

Tuesday 19 December

Wind: Easterly 10 to 15 knots tending northerly 20 to 30 knots during the morning then tending north to northwesterly 15 to 25 knots during the early afternoon. Winds shifting southwesterly 15 to 25 knots during the late afternoon. Winds tending south to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots during the evening. Stronger squalls possible with thunderstorms.
Seas: Below 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the morning.

Wednesday 20 December

Wind: Variable below 10 knots becoming westerly 10 to 15 knots during the morning then turning south to southwesterly 15 to 25 knots during the day.
Seas: Below 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the afternoon or evening.
